Ok, so you may or may not be a fan of Coldplay but at one of their Wembley Stadium Shows Chris Martin stopped a song midway and highlighted an issue that's affecting all photographers.
The world of Astronomy was presented with an interesting image of a new planet which we take a look at to see how it was taken and the incredible detail...or not....
We also look forward to The Photography Show and Video Show at thew NEC from 17-20th September here in the UK going through some of the things you can see and get involved in.

The bar is open again as Mark and Kam chat various things including The Diversity Challenge student competition and Wedding Album Awards at the forthcoming Photography Show at the NEC, Birmingham UK in September.
The Wedding Album of the Year Awards will celebrate the best of the best, showcasing the talent and craft of professional wedding photographers and album makers, and championing the power of print. To enter, pro photographers need to send a copy of an album which they deem to be their best work since June 2019 to The Photography Show organisers. The shortlisted albums (judging panel comprising top level wedding photographers, editors and big brand representatives) will be on display in an exclusive area on the show floor. The overall winner will be announced at the Awards networking event at the show, and will receive extensive coverage (guaranteed across several media, including County Weddings) and a £1,000 prize fund.

Sad news in the photography and fashion world this week with the passing of icon Patrick Demarchelier. An absolute icon who worked with the biggest stars, he was so in demand by everyone A List fashion model.
We also chat about an interesting article featuring a 34-year-old veterinary nurse who had been struggling with her mental health, experiencing panic attacks almost daily and from there discovered Photography and how it has helped her mental well-being.

There was certainly a buzz for the return of The Societies Convention in London last week which both Kam and Mark attended and it certainly started off with a bang as Kam spent almost £5000 on new gear and yes it has finally happened......Kam has switched from Nikon to Canon!
The guys chat to exhibitors, visitors and Masterclass hosts about everything including gear, techniques, products as well as mindfulness and well being for photographers. This week’s episode was sparked by a chat we had whilst on a shoot last week where we discussed the topic of Creativity Vs Saleability and how closely you listen to a client and their vision.
Ukraine is sadly very much on our minds, and we chat about the power, emotion and messages being conveyed by the images we are all seeing.
Inspiration…we all need it from time to time and Kam discusses how inspired he recently felt after working with Mark, so much so that he is now seriously considering jumping ship to Canon! Yes….it’s true….it could happen! On a more serious note Kam has always believed in moving with the times and his business has survived for many years as he’s continued to invest in new techniques and ideas, but working with Mark recently was the most inspired he’s felt by someone for over 10 years.
